About the book

What happens in it.

Sixteen illustrations in two halves. The first half is inside one cell - the nucleus, the endoplasmic reticulum, the Golgi, the mitochondria and the small parts that keep it running. The second half is the cells of a body, each one shaped for what it does, from the long ropes of muscle to the branching neuron.

Every left hand page has a short note for whoever is reading it out loud, so the book works flat on a play mat at six weeks and still has something in it years later.
